Day 1
Arrival in Malaga Pick
up your rental car at Malaga Airport and drive the short distance to the
Parador de Malaga Gibralfaro. Enjoy the impressive views of the city from
your hotel.
Day 2 Malaga After breakfast, spend the day enjoying a
unique view of the Mediterranean port city of Malaga aboard a double-decker
bus. Highlights include the magnificent Baroque cathedral and ruins of the
Roman theatre. Afterwards, be sure to include time for a visit to the Picasso
Museum.
Day 3 Malaga/Granada
Depart Malaga and drive to Granada. Step back into the rich history
of Granada. We suggest you visit its main attraction, the fabulous Alhambra
Palace, widely regarded as being one of the 10 architectural wonders of the
world. Take time to walk through the beautiful grounds of Generalife and view
the palace of Charles V. Afterwards, you'll stay at the magical and luxurious
Parador de Granada, San Francisco, a former 15th Century convent.
Day 4 Granada/Cordoba/Carmona (Seville)
Continue your delightful journey with a stop in Cordoba. You may visit the
World Heritage Mosque/Cathedral and stroll the local shops before continuing
toward Carmona for overnight at your romantic Parador de Carmona, a former
14th century Moorish citadel.
Day 5 Carmona (Seville)
Leave your majestic setting for a visit to the romantic city of Seville,
capital of Spain's Andalucia region. Not to be missed are a visit to the
world's largest Gothic Cathedral or a carriage ride before sampling some
tapas at a local cafe. Afterwards, return to Carmona where highlights include
a Roman necropolis containing some of the best-preserved tombs of the former
empire
Day 6 Carmona(Seville)/Ronda
Depart Carmona for the dramatic city of Ronda. Once home to American writer
Ernest Hemingway and famous for its dramatic river gorge views. Visit the
oldest bullring in Spain and shop for local handicrafts before settling in at
the Parador de Ronda, located in the heart of the town center.
Day 7 Ronda/Malaga to home (or extend your stay)
After breakfast, drive the short distance back to Malaga Airport where you can
return your car and depart for the USA, arriving the same day.
